2024 China Padel Tour CPT-1000 Open 

The 2024 China Padel Tour CPT-1000 Chengdu Padel Tennis Competition opened in Chengdu on June 29th, attracting nearly 200 paddle tennis enthusiasts from Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing, Guangzhou and other cities to participate in the competition.

Padel tennis has developed rapidly in recent years in China. It is an extremely easy-to-use, relaxed and fashionable sport with strong ornamental and social attributes. At present, padel sports has been widely spread around the world. In the process of Chengdu actively building a world-famous event city, paddle tennis, a new and vibrant sport, is booming in universities and clubs in Chengdu. In line with this trend, the Chengdu Tennis Association has also established a padel tennis sports committee to train, promote and organize this sport. The fact that this event is held in Chengdu fully demonstrates that Chengdu padel continues to heat up and has a broad mass base and influence.

Competition site

The padel tour is hosted by the Tennis Sports Management Center of the State General Administration of Sports and the Chinese Tennis Association, and guided by the Sichuan Provincial Sports Bureau. Sun Wenbing, director of the Youth and Mass Tennis Department of the Tennis Management Center of the General Administration of Sport of China and deputy secretary-general of the Chinese Tennis Association, expressed his willingness to work with tennis associations and clubs in various regions to promote and expand the population of padel tennis and strive to promote this project to the Olympics.

It is reported that the competition lasted for three days, with the preliminaries held on the 28th and the final peak showdown to be held.
